Housed at University at Albany in New York’s capital city, the SUNY Program for Experiential and Entrepreneurial Development (SPEED) is a summer internship-based program that provides students from any SUNY institution the opportunity to gain professional experience as an intern at a local small/medium sized company, organization, or start-up in the Capital Region. Interns get hands on experiences and build their professional skills. SPEED encourages students with an array of expertise and perspectives to experience the heart of New York, while contributing to the growth of small businesses and local organizations participating in the program.

Upon acceptance, students must complete this career preparation course to build their professional toolkit.  Completion of this course allows access to the exclusive hosting of SPEED internship opportunities with our employer partners.

This is the first part of the orientation for NY State Legislative Interns, including those participating in both the NYS Assembly Internship and the NYS Senate Session Assistantship programs. Completion is required.
